RE NXT Workflow email option looks like it will only allow you to email the constituent related to the criteria.

I was hoping to program a few workflows to send email alerts to internal staff upon conditions, like a gift to a particular fund to the respective Development Officer for a sensitive/high profile Fund.

Any ideas out there?

    It does not look like you can do this in Workflow, but you should be able to accomplish it in Power Automate.

    Hi,


    I don't think you can automate an email to a staff member but I got around this by setting up an specific action workflow for certain new gifts that creates an action to the assigned fundraiser/s. It does mean that staff have to check their work centre to see the action though or you could make the action automatically download to the 365 outlook calendar but that just shows up on their calendar, it doesn't email them the action.


    Hope you find a work around.

    Thank you Dan for your reply! We currently use Office 2016 and I'm not sure if we can leverage Microsoft Power Automate, but it is worth checking. I have not used it before.


    Thank you Mark! That is exactly what I did was create an Action to the Fundraiser and also exactly why email was preferred in the event he/she does not check his/her Work Center in webview. We actually use Google, but I know there are Google plug ins, but I have not tried any of them yet. I do have on my list to investigate for the sake of capturing emails sent to Donors from Fundraisers vs them cutting and pasting into actions/notes. I know you can send emails directly through webview too which would make that task possibly I believe. A bit of a tangent from the original topic. So much to consider.
