Trying to link up our credit cards (Capital One) through Blackbaud. Having problems, Blackbaud is contacting Yodlee.


My question to you all - has anyone gotten this to work on a consistent basis? I don't want to spend a lot of time implementing and training our department managers if it doesn't work consistently.


(and switching to Blackbaud purchase cards is not an option. We get 15K back in capital one rewards each year.)

    It took a bit to get it to link or us, (US Bank Visa) but figured it out eventually and so far seems to be working. Turns out we couldn't do the parent account for all cards but had to link each card individually and not use the verification number security.


    From the non-accounting user side, I think it seems simple for people to use. From the backend/accounting side, I first found it confusing but once we walked through the steps and watched training videos, it made sense. We are still new to this module and with the pandemic, our credit card activity has really slowed down so haven't had a lot of transactions, but with the few that have, I think this is pretty nice to have one we start getting busy again.


    Best of luck. It can be a struggle setting up but should be worth it.

    Hi Molly,

    Please understand I'm not pushing the BB purchasing card, however have you done a benefits and rebate comparison between the 2?

    We also have Capital One cards and have had a bad time getting it to work consistently. Sometimes it refreshes with no problem and other times we get endless error messages, without any noticeable difference in how we are trying to do it. I'm not sure if the security features on the Capital One card (in additional to a user name & password, we have security questions, and also there is an authentication code emailed each time you sign in) are causing the problem. We have also been trying to get this to work before we launch it to all of our cardholders and it has been a dreadful experience.

    I am trying to do exactly that Thomas (compare the purchasing card to Capital One). Does anyone have any straightforward info about the cashback rewards on the BB purchase cards?

    Hi Sandy, our Blackbaud Purchase card offers .05% cash rebate paid out annually.

    Hi Molly - We use FirstBank Card and have been syncing to FE since 2018. It is very glitchy - sometime working and sometimes not. When it works its GREAT! However....Support issues with Yodlee are problematic. We recently ran into the issue where there is now a limit on the # of cards that can be synced at the same time (if you are not using the BB Card). I think it's 20 or 22. The proposed solution was to set up each card as its own link and sync each independently. Not ideal. We are syncing daily to get around this - hoping that we have less than 20 cards with daily transactions. Good luck.
