Reconciling Altru Payments with BBMS Deposits

We recently implemented Blackbaud Merchant Services, which produces its daily deposit reports based upon Eastern Time. However, we are in Texas and Altru produces its daily revenue reports based upon Central Time and are having difficulty reconciling the two reports. Any suggestions? Thanks,

We are on the west coast and that occasionally will cause the reports to be off. What I do when that happens is check the online sales for the day to see if someone placed an order late at night that would account for the difference. I have the online order emails sent to a separate folder in my inbox, so it's a quick check.

Mike - we run ours on the deposit reports. For example March 1 to the 7 data in Altru is compared to the deposit report from the Bank made by BBMS. That's also how we transfer the data from Altru to Financial Edge so that they all three match. When you send the Financial Report to excel and then sort on the Payee you can quickly balance via the BBMS short report. Your Altru should match the first to columns and then once you subtrac the fees from that you should balance into the BBMS deposit. We once in a while are off due to a hold or an expired credit date being processed but rarely. Best regards. Sharon
