SKY View Temporarily Adding Column to Existing Views not Possible

In Classic view, we are able to add columns temporarily to existing views without having to save the view. In SKY view, if you want to add columns "on the fly" to an existing view, you are forced to save it. I can't imagine how many saved views our staff will be creating just because we want to temporarily add a column or two to an existing saved view. Does anyone know how to temporarily add columns without having to save each time?


UPDATE: Hi all - I've added this to "Ideas" as suggested by Elizabeth. Please VOTE on this one! Unfortunately, after I added the idea, I found another "idea" that someone else posted that is similar (?), but that one is found under GIFTS Online - unclear how these ideas are being categorized, but here are the two links so that you can vote - thanks for your support!!

    Have also noticed this - its a pain, I'm hoping its a development thing to come (please please please) So just throwing this in as also concerned about this feature as it is at the moment.

    I want to make sure your ideas get seen and voted on. The Ideas tab is a link to the website the Blackbaud Developers use to review customer ideas, have others vote on them and provide comments. You might find an idea similar to yours that you can add your vote. If you don't find a similar idea, just create a new one.

    I have seen others use the Community Forums to post an idea they want others to vote on...Here is an older example of how an idea is publicized in a different community. You can copy her verbiage to make ihttps://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/213/40728

    Hi Elizabeth Perron‍, Just an observation - I am a bit confused as to why it has to be logged as an Idea? when its a feature that already exists in classic that should have been developed like for like in Sky? Is it just that its been missed from the development or is it still in the roadmap of being added (although I cannot see anything about going back over Views in the future 'coming soon list')


    I'm pleased that this is being flagged however, just concerned we have some features that already exisit in the old world that havent been put into the new world at all... I would have thought this would be more of a 'logging a fault' rather then an 'idea'


    From a UK perspective - it can get a bit confusing what should be logged/raised where...

    Louisa Robinson‍, thank you for raising the question. The community forums are focused on peer-to-peer conversations. The Idea Bank is the one place dedicated to communication between Community members and product managers and developers. If this feature is on the roadmap they will mark it as planned (see filters on the left to sort through the ideas).
