Seeking formula for export Consecutive Years Giving

Looking at web view, the Giving Panel shows "Years Giving" and "Years Consecutive". Unfortunately it isn't possible to export these values in a List.


Looking at database view, I see Query Summary for Gift has Consecutive Years Giving and Total # of Gifts. And Constituent Export has one Summary field showing Total Number of Gifts, but there is no option to export the Consecutive Years Giving.


I'd like to produce a Crystal Report that provides the Consecutive Years Giving, as I have several other items I need to provide. The Query field won't help me here, as I cannot export that. So I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a formula they have created to calculate the Consecutive Years Giving (preferably by Fiscal Year)?


From what I've tested both web view and database view query show the value by calendar year.


Could the BB programmers provide their logic in how they are computing the Consecutive Years Giving as shown in web view Giving? I know the field shows the number of years back before a break.

    Did you get a response on this? I am in the same situation with wanting to run a consecutive years of giving report for fiscal years. It's not giving me the data I need. Just curious if you got answers outside of this chat. Thank you!

    Hello! While this may not be the best option, here is what I have done in the past. I export into excel, add a column for FY, sort by date, add the FY, then I create a pivot table by name and FY and I can easily tell consecutive years giving and maybe if someone fell off the radar and I want to make them for someone to connect with.

    There is a canned Consecutive Years Giving Report. Usually folks want more or other fields that the report provides. What I do is quite simple.

    Run the Consecutive Years Giving Report with the choice on Gen 1 tab click to Export a Query.

    Pull the query through Export and include whatever fields you want to see.
