Merging ideas

Hey. I just wanted to let you know that I talked to some product managers and they are seeing these and are going to merge them. It just might take some time to get it done. Thank you for the ideas and please keep them coming! ___,,,^._.^,,,___

Google Drive

• Fully integrate Google Drive
• Allow teachers to upload from Google Drive directly
• Ability for Teachers to Submit Google Drive Attachment Through Assignment
• Add ability to upload video from Google Drive to Topics video widget
• Upload Google Drive documents as resources on group pages
• Allow Google Docs to be attached for bulletin boards
• To allow links as a document upload to make hte program compatible with Google Docs.
• Google Drive Integration
• Allow Syllabus and Expectations to be links to shared Google Docs
• Allow teachers to share a Google document with students from the course page, if they would rather do that than add a download.

Google Sharing Notifications

• Have a student's file automatically shared with the teacher when they attach from Google Drive using Link
• Ability to choose whether to notify a teacher of a shared Google assignment submission

Student View

• Give teachers a "student view" option
• Give teachers a "student view" option

Assessment Makeups - Grade in gradebook

• Allow retake of assessment or upload of assignment even if a score is entered for the student in the gradebook
• Assessments - Automatically Override w/ New Grade

Assessment Retakes - show previous responses

• Want retakes to save correct answers so only incorrect answers are changed
• When Assessments are Allowed to be Retaken, let students retake ONLY the answers they got wrong
• See previous work on an assessment retake
• Assessments: When allowing students to retake assessments, have them retake only the questions they got wrong
• Return Assessment Question to Students for Editing

I understand that from Blackbaud's perspective, things are often updated section-by-section or area-by-area but for your customers, that's not how we work. We don't work in boxes. Features should work the same seamlessly across the entire product. If you're going to integrate Google Drive, it needs to work the same everywhere. The Google Drive request is HUGE for us. It just has to work. Anywhere and everywhere we have the option to add a file, we should be able to do it from Google Drive and it should be able to be a link to the original Google Drive file, not converted to another file type. If it makes sense for Blackbaud to keep some of the Ideas separate, fine, but I think it's VERY important that they are all seen and evaluated together because the way teachers see it, it's all one thing.


(Another example of when this kind of thing happened was with the updates this last year to the Assignment page and Assignment Center view for faculty. While the IDEA behind the update was great, the roll out was terrible. It was "kind of" updated but only in certain views. If you accessed the class assignment pages or assignment center one way, it looked completely different then if you accessed it another way. It also should have been updated for students at the same time. It's already hard enough for teachers to know what students are seeing but now they're completely different which makes it hard for teachers to help students.)
