End-of-year Grading Reports

We would like to pull some statistical data on final grades (Mean, Median, Mode, Max, Min, Count) by teacher or by courses. Has anyone found a way to pull this information from BB?

Some of what you are looking for is now available via the new analytics package (insight Designer) Blackbaud release last spring. You would need to build out the insights for what you want, but the insights do offer the max/min, average, and median calculations.

We did purchase the service last spring and it has been helpful for some fundamental academic analytics; however, the academic "portion" of the module needs many, many more measures added such as GPA and Test Score to make it as helpful as I believe it should be.

Scott is correct about the ability to build reports on Average grade by teacher and Average grade by course within the Dashboard Builder/Insight Designer. You will need to add additional filters and calculations to get Mean, Median, Mode… And as he stated, there is a lot more capacity yet to be added to the academic (and financial) portions of the insights. Hopefully, additional options will continue to be added over time. It is a great resource for creating dynamic and static reports.
