Invalid address - NXT

Some of my constituents are marked as invalid address in the database view. I also have a business rule that pops up to help out. In NXT, it seems like there is no spot that lists that the address is invalid. Does anyone have a solution to this?

There is no tag for NVA in NXT currently. There is at least one idea in the idea bank for it. One would imagine that it would be at the top like the tag for inactive.

Dariel is correct that the NVA tag does not exist in web view. While you're voting for the idea Dariel suggested the RE Idea Bank, make sure you also vote for idea to recognize DBV business rules in WV.

In the meantime, you can add a summary note to the constituent records that says this information - it will appear as a Note Record within DBV. It is definitely not ideal, but it will get the information in front of your front-end users.

  • It's true there's no NVA field in NXT. However it does correspond with having a past “Valid To” date in NXT - in other words, if you give an address in NXT a “Valid To” date prior to today, it will check the NVA field in database view and become “inactive” in NXT. Not ideal, of course, but maybe that will help you figure out a workaround until NXT is developed more.

  • This was a good work around, thank you!
