Recurring Gift via Blackbaud Checkout?

So, we've done one time gifts using the Blackbaud Checkout:

But I'm not seeing any way to do recurring payments via the Blackbaud Checkout integration.

It almost seems like we can make any payment recurring via the Gift API, but how do we configure Blackbaud Checkout so it is apparent to the user that they are setting up a recurring donation? Right now it just looks like they are doing a one time donation and there is no way for them to say they want to do it monthly or quarterly in the UI:

Is there a way to make it clear they are creating a monthly donation in Blackbaud Checkout? Or will it always just show the one time donation amount and then we have to take care of the recurring part in the backend with the Gift API?

    Hi Nathan

    Blackbaud Checkout is designed to capture a payment method and process the payment for both one time and recurring payments. The difference between the one time vs. recurring however is managed by the underlying donation form. Blackbaud Checkout just will overlay the donation form when it's time to capture the payment details.

    The actual donation form is where a donor would choose one time vs. recurring, the amount and frequency of the recurring gift, etc. When you launch Blackbaud Checkout and you know it's for a recurring gift, you can configure Checkout to also tokenize the credit card. Once you have this token, the idea is that you store the token with the recurring gift so it can be used to process all future payments. The Gift API accepts this card token when creating new automated recurring gifts.

    That helps clarify things. So we initiate the recurring gift (adding a schedule via the API).

    Is there a way to modify the Blackbaud Checkout amount to show that it is recurring (this is after the user selects recurring from the underlying donation form)? Something like this (for monthly):

    Hi - Blackbaud Checkout cannot be customized aside from the font/color themes.
