Migrating Away from Student Billing

Could anyone share your thoughts experiences so far on this matter?.


Please notice I word it as migrating "Away". I (and I guess most of us) would like to have the least change on transitioning, but I have heard mixed messages on the virtues of the BB replacement for our present FE SB module. So if there is anything out there that has made your life easier on this issue, I hope you would like to share your wisdom too.

    We will be moving to FACTS for tuition management. Have not heard good stuff about Smart Tuition to be frank.

    Here in Canada we are being forced to move from Student Billing to Billing Management in the Blackbaud Education Management platform by August 2022. It's a terribly tight timeline and the Billing Mgmt product falls far short of what we need (our finance team believes it is basically not an option). We may run student billing locally and out of support until the new product is improved. All that to say, I'd love to hear what other folks are using for student billing.

    Hello @Karin, I saw this post that you were moving to FACTS. I would like to know how is your experience in these almost two years after? Is it easy to use FACTS with FENXT? We have FACTS for tuition management and we are going to be using Blackbaud with FACTS. I would like to hear from you.

    We had demos done of both Tuition Management and FACTS and ended up being happy w/some of the changes TM had made since our prior demo a few years before. So we went with TM and so far it's gone quite smoothly. So I can't help, sorry.

    @Karin Nangreave Thank you for your response! We will see how smooth will be with FACTS and Blackbaud. We are just in the beginning stage of implementation. Many questions but I am sure we will find answers for them!
