Custom Dashboard Insight Question

We have just launched in NXT and the prebuilt Insights in the Reporting section are great, but I’m trying to put together a custom dashboard with some other specific information my boss is interested in. I’ve found almost everything needed, but there doesn’t seem to a Recent Gift List insight which shows the names and gift information of the donor available in Web view like the one that is available in the dashboard of the Database view. Am I just missing this? I know I can create a list in the list section, but is there a way to put a list on a custom dashboard so we don’t have to click away to a separate section?

We don’t have Insight Builder, but I’m curious about it and would be interested in seeing some ideas or samples of the kind of custom insights people have built. I might be able to justify putting in next year’s budget if I can show it’s worth to my CDO.

    Hi! We also use custom dashboards, and they are great. There are a couple of items it doesn't have, just as you are suggesting. We did the 30 day trial with the insight builder, and it was too complicated to use with no training. The best way we have been able to get a recent gift is just what you said, which was to use the list functionality.
