Opportunity Assigned to multiple solicitors

We sometimes have more than one fundraiser listed on an Opportunity.  For us, the first solicitor is the Primary and any others are "assisting".  We are finding that NXT doesn't necessarily use solicitors in the order they are entered which causes reporting errors.  Opportunity Assigned to displays in alpha order - not entry order

In database view the solicitor entry order is correct but if a gift officer changes an opportunity status or moves an opportunity from open to pending in NXT, the database view order changes to match the NXT order.  Has anyone figured out how to maintain solicitor integrity with multiple solicitors in Opportunities?

Hi @Deb Dressely, have you had any luck with this? Did you try support? Start an idea?

  • Thought I had created an Idea but couldn't locate any that address this issue. We have created a work around using Custom Field to note Collaborating Solicitors. It's clunky in that you can't access custom fields when you are creating an Opportunity. You have to go back into the Opportunity and edit before custom fields becomes available. Much easier in database view.

Hi @Deb Dressely, That seems like the best workaround until they have time to build that out. I didn't see an idea either. If you create one post the link here and @ me. I'll vote for it!

  • Have never relied on RE to keep an “order”. Anything can change that… RE randomness any given day, solicitor dates from/to… Besides newbies would not know the “secret” priority. I've always just used Solicitor Type. Primary, Secondary, and Events etc.

  • New idea has been created. Please vote for RE7-I-6371
