Address now required in order to save salutations

Starting Tuesday this week, we are now getting error when we attempt to add formal/informal sals to candidate records that do not have a full address. (i.e. we may have state, country but do not yet have street address). This had not been occurring prior to Tuesday as we often get names/emails of prospects to contact regarding their interest.

Anyone else seeing this error - not being able to save address tile without full address? Thanks!

    Sometimes I write “need address” in the address line/city/etc. until I have the information so we can add candidate and parent to the system with their address.

    Am having this same issue that the street, city, and state are all required fields; this is causing issues as we have records, ie, grandparents, where we mark their street as ‘NO Address on File’. This indicates to us that it isn't an oversight but rather it is that, for any number of reasons, we don't have the full address and may or may not get it in the future. City field I can enter ‘Unknown’ (or something similar) but with the State field being a dropdown, we can't save the record without having to select a random, real state which is inaccurate.

    Being able to mark these records is key for us to keep our data in sync with RE. Anyone from BB have some insight as to if these required fields can be changed so as to not be required?

    I was told by BB that nothing changed, it had always been required yet I have thousands of prior records without addresses. Something changed but I have not yet figure out what.

    Something had to have changed as I don't have the #s of records you do but definitely have records with no City or State on their records. Because we are fairly new to this system, it has been sometime in the last year or so that we were able to manually save without a city or state (rather than an import). I will reach out to BB as well when I get the chance. Thanks!

    FYI, I contacted support - they suggested I open an Idea to change this?? I asked for them to ‘escalate’ it since something has definitely changed in the system so it has been passed to BB's ‘internal resources’. Will let you know if/when I hear anything.

    I know it has not always been this way. Unfortunately I have not been able to take the time to identify when something changed to cause us to be forced to type in NEED ADDRESS (or something in the address fields.

    Hopefully, it will revert back soon.

    Per my contact with support: 'The Address validation was added a few months ago and now the address line 1, city, and state fields are required when saving an address. ….this is working as designed. If you want to save an address and don't have the information for these fields, you must use placeholders in order to save.'

    Support suggested submitting an Idea to the Ideas bank on this; also said that if we imported salutations, address fields are not required.

    Personally import is not a realistic option for our school as these are typically individual cases so the time to create and run the import isn't worth the time/effort.
