How can I query the number of lapsed $1K donors quarterly?

    Hi Veronica - I would run a constituent query looking for donors with a last gift of $1,000/+ received less than or equal to the last day of the previous year. Depending on how your org utilizes soft credits you may also want to include those as well; you can do this by going to Tools > Query Options > Gift Processing > Credit Soft Credits to.

    I would use giving summary for this query, in case you have a donor who is a $1K donor but their last gift was smaller. Use criteria: Gift Summary - total amount greater than $1000 within the 13-24-month recency span; PLUS another criteria, Gift Summary less than $1000 (or = $0) within the past 12 months.

    If you pick the second summary less than $1000 you will get donors who have downgraded as well as lapsed. If you pick second summary = $0, you will get true lapsed $1000 donors.
