Pulling Report on Amount Raised per Fundraiser

We're new to Raiser's Edge. I'm trying to pull a report on amount raised per fundraiser. I've been using the solicitor field in the database view. We just noticed today in RENXT, there is a field within the Opportunity to credit the fundraiser with an amount. Does anyone use this field?

    One the most straightforward ways to tell what a fundraiser/solicitor has done is in Reports > Analytical Reports > Solicitor Performance Analysis. This was one of our most used reports when it came to campaigns at my previous org.


    There are similar options in NXT. I haven't gotten into these as much. We use Opportunities. The biggest thing is if fundraiser is recorded on all and being able to pull what you want. Do you want to include only $ received or pledges?


    Hopefully someone who uses NXT more can direct you to the best report options there.

    Seconding Joann's recommendation of the Solicitor Performance report! My current org has not yet upgraded to NXT (though I am gently nudging) but having used it in the past, but IIRC the solicitor performance report should capture everything raised by your fundraiser. Like Joann said, you'll likely need to indicate exactly what kind of gifts you want to count towards that total.

    You could use a gift list in NXT that shows “Credited to” which is the solicitor credit. There is also an insight in Report Builder that can be used in a dashboard.

    An important note that I find customers don't always understand is that there is a difference between assigned as solicitor on the Relationships tab of a record, and being assigned as the solicitor on a gift.

    I am pretty sure the Solicitor Performance Analysis report would work if you assign solicitors to gifts but it has been awhile since I have used that report. I believe this structure would also lend itself nicely to the “credited to” gift list and other reporting pieces in NXT as well.

    I think it is important to consider how you want to use this information and how you would pull it into any reports. I don't know how much information you can pull from the Opportunity record, for instance.

    Just do a lot of testing!
