Viewing Fees via Payments Transaction API

Hi

Successfully querying transactions that have been charged in BBMS from Raiser's Edge.

Results are showing a correct amount and additional_fee, but additional_fee is always 0.

Wanting to view total fees charged per transaction.

How can I get all the fees (or total of fees)?

    Hi Clint

    The API does not currently expose the BBMS transaction fees and there are no plans to include that data at this time. The API has been focused on enabling payment processing vs. reporting on transactions after they occur (since that is typically done from the underlying constituent system).

    If you can, please share the use case you are looking to enable.

    Business requirement is the ability to report on fees per gift within Raiser's Edge.


    Few use cases for this

    - Being able to inform constituents exactly where there donation has been spent (once all spent)

    - Being able to report on fees per funds/appeal, and determine net revenue from those efforts

    - Reporting on fees per GL codes to save staff manual entry


    Currently very manual process to get this data against a gift


    Ideally would like the integration between Raiser's Edge and BBMS to place fees on a gift similar to

    REGiftTransactionID, but dont couldnt find a way to enable that.


    Got excited when the Payments API listed additional_fee, as thought possible to get fees per gift via REGiftTransactionID and Payments API

    and then confused as to why didn't include all fees
