Blackboard Connect API sync with Core?

Hello,

We are trying to implement the Blackboard Connect API sync with Core, and are running into issues because Blackboard requires a parent to be marked as “Primary” contact for the data sync, but there is no way to change that indicator for parents without manually adding it to each student's record (no data import available). It also means that as new parents are added, their record will have to be manually updated.

I'm wondering how other schools handled this requirement for Blackboard Connect API sync?

    There are two different Blackbaud APIs for K-12 schools. Which one are you trying to use? Both have some Core endpoints.

    The older, “legacy” or “ON” API is NOT recommended, since we're no longer adding new endpoints to it. Its help documentation is

    The newer, SKY API is recommended, since we're adding new endpoints to it and enhancing existing endpoints. Its help documentation is

    Or do you mean Blackboard, the third-party?

    I mean the Blackboard third-party integration. We had been using the ON API, but Blackboard recommended using their third-party integration as the ON is being phased out, and we no longer have a developer on staff who can help with converting that to the SKY API. Thanks!
