Adding Payments to a Deposit in NXT, error message Failed to get cash receipt edit view....

Since November 18th, we have been unable to add Payments to a Deposit in NXT. We were told by Blackbaud support this is a known issue and that the error existed previously and was “gotten rid of” in an earlier build (version) but is back in the current build (version). It has been a week and this issue still has not been corrected. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone else feel Blackbaud is backsliding on it's transition to NXT?

  • Same problem. They said the fix will be in the update but I don't know when that will happen. Can enter via FE until then.

  • Same thing here…….until today, I was not even able to enter in database view. I'm not sure what happened to change that, but at least I can catch up in database view for the time being until this fix is implemented.

  • Same problem. Still not fixed. We couldn't apply credit memo's to an invoice for a week also but that has now been fixed.

  • I can't add payments to deposits either. And I also couldn't apply credit memo's yesterday, I couldn't figure out why, but I was able to in database.

  • We are getting the same message. We have a case number for this but have not received any feedback yet on the progress of getting it fixed. Very frustrating!
  • I've been watching the status page for any updates, but there haven't been any. Today, however, the issue no long appears on the page as if it's been resolved. I am still having the same issues, however. I agree......frustrating, indeed.

  • We were told it the Deposit issues wouldn't be fixed until the Dec 10th update. For now, they told us to enter it in databaseview. Definitely frustrating.
  • Yes, we have this issue too, for deposits in web view. It's doable in database view which I am more comfortable with anyway, but if they plan to sunset database view, they need to resolve these issues in web view. I am currently training my replacement as I retire on December 23, and it was disconcerting to have that issue come up when I was trying to train her on deposit data entry.

  • While Blackbaud seems to feel it isn't a real problem if the functionality is available in Database view, but I disagree. Our workflows are built around NXT functionality as much as possible. When NXT functionality is not available it takes additional time and resources to adapt transactional workflows and train staff. If not sooner, at least a target date of December 10th for a fix is more definitive information than we have received from Blackbaud support on our case. Thank you.

  • The same for us. The case is open and no response. So frustrating.

  • Same problem here, it's been frustrating for my team. We've had no response on our case from the “internal team” and it's been over 2 weeks.

  • BB has fixed the problem. We were able to enter a deposit in FE NXT this morning. Finally!
