Journal Entry Batch Creator for Financial Edge NXT

Hi,

Does anyone have issues with this Excel Add-in?

I receive this error message when I launch the add-in:

This page is no longer accessible to users of Internet Explorer. For more information, see supported browsers.

I used to have Edge as my default browser. Then, I switched to Chrome and still received the same error. Explorer is not even installed on my PC.

Thank you.

  • I was getting weird errors trying to log-in into the add-in from Excel. I use chrome. Blackbaud support had to delete the 'cache' from my Excel. I didn't even know Excel had a cache and couldn't tell you how they got to it but it's somewhere on your C drive. If you can find it, that's what I would try or contact support.

  • Thanks, Kristy. I'll look into it.

  • Yes, we are having sign in issues with the Excel Add-in(s). Today, one of our Users was able to sign in successfully from a previously created JE and I was able to do this as well. Blackbaud support said there was a “Main Case” on this issue. I am going to investigate deleting the Excel cache; I did not know Excel had a cache either.

  • My Excel add-ins keep disappearing and I have to add them back.

I just added the Journal Entry Batch Creator for Financial Edge NXT via Excel through the Office365 Admin Console. Go to Home, Settings, Integrated Apps, Get Apps. Search for “Blackbaud”. Choose Journal Entry Batch Creator for Financial Edge NXT via Excel.

  • Office 2021 and MS 365 work with the add-on. If you don't have those versions, you may need to upgrade. It's all based on the operating system, browser, and Office version. They all have to work in combination with each other. MS Office Add-On for the JE Creator works if you have Office 2021 and MS 365 in Chrome and MS Edge.

  • @Dawn Asbury I have had this same issue, it disappears when I click it to use it. Thankfully I know how to add it back in, but definitely frustrating.

  • I am now having the same issue. It was working with 365. This is so frustrating because I have large journal entries and this tool really helped speed things up for me. My IT dept bought a 365 subscription for me mainly because it was working and now it is not working.

  • Hi All,

Has anyone opened a support ticket about the feature disappearing after saving it?

    Thanks,

    Elizabeth

Hello, Our IT people figured it out. I don't completely understand but have your IT department make sure you have WebView2 installed and working on your computer. Don't ask me what it is, but they should be able to figure it out. We did this using Office 2021 and no office 365.
