"Selling" Items Using OLX or RE-NXT

What is the best method/form to sell items as a fundraiser? I thought at first to use the Events form but with the forced registrant info needed, that appears odd to me if a person wants to buy items. Or am I doing something incorrectly as I am new to this system?

    Hi @Jeremy Becker - I recommend that you take a look at a platform like Square or Shopify to sell items, rather than running these transactions through a donation form that is unlikely to provide what you are looking for. Additionally, I recommend you check in with your Finance Department/Auditors on how they would like to track the funds raised from ‘selling’ items.

    We are part of a univeristy and a campus organization wants to sell an item for $20. They have no bank account and with the student leadership turnover each year, it is easier for us to assist them and be able to capture their donors - which is the reason we would like to use this service if possible.

    Hi @Jeremy Becker, I haven't used it myself, but I've read that SmartSTORE is a way to create an online store that works with RE and OLX. Here's the link to check out:

    We used an Event form for selling commemorative bricks from our old campus building. The only reason I used the event form rather than adding another button to our donation form was because brick purchasers also have the option to pay for shipping, multiple bricks and/or to make an additional donation. It works for us.

    @roger berg Thanks for the information. My concern is that if someone purchases say 5 items, they will need to complete the “registration Info" five times. That is what I was trying to avoid. If there was a way to remove the “registrant info”, then the Events option would be perfect but I am not sure how to do that or if it is even possible.
