The new AP format.. seems like a lot of extra steps. Not happy with it at all.

    new AP format. I too do not like it. I just noticed it changed from yesterday. Oy

    I was told to submit my idea here: I did that if you would like to go vote on it. Here is how and you can see what I said.

    -The fonts/layout changed and are not as "noticeable" which makes it difficult to see things.

    -When entering an invoice the dollar amount used to automatically populate in the distribution area one you entered it at the top of your payment section. You now have to manually type that out again

    - When you are entering your GL account, if you don't actually click the one that pops up it will not leave it in the field. So again another click you have to make.

    -Bank drafts are way more steps- did a screen record on that.

    The entire update has caused additional steps and I know it sounds silly but when all you do is enter invoices, those additional steps add time and become very tedious.

    Here is how to go vote on it:

    I do understand the displeasure with the new update in NXT. What was suppose to be a more simplified environment is not more steps like database. I personally can not fix this options for you. However, you can submit you displeasure online via https://www.blackbaud.com/training-support/online-community/idea-banks This is what the engineers will look at and possibly change the process back in the upcoming update.

    1. Click on your product's idea bank (link above in bold).
    2. Create a log in. The idea bank is a separate web tool, so your log in is different from the Blackbaud Community log in.
    3. Search if your idea has already been posted (Click the popular tab and use the search bar.)
    4. If you find the idea, vote and or comment how it will help your organization.
    5. If you do not find your idea, click "Add a new idea" on the left side of the webpage and follow the instructions.

    Optional: If you are passionate about an idea, add a discussion with the idea link to the applicable Blackbaud product community to see if others are willing to vote on it with you!

    Hmm. I have not yet done a bank draft since the change. Thanks for the heads up. I will go to that other area after I have had a chance to see what other changes have updated.

    I think the changes took us backward. Absolutely, do NOT like the changes. As an AP Clerk that spends most of my days in there it is cumbersome to say the least.

    Notes on what has changed and I do not like. First, when I enter a vendor name the bar below does not go away and the word invoice is hidden. Minor thing but still new. I can then tab through entering information until after I hit the description field. Now I have to tab six additional times until I get to the new "distribution" field that has no heading on it and no matter what I type it does not take any entry. If I hit tab like I used to be able to do in this filed it jumps to Interfund entry set and I have to use my mouse to click into the debit account field to enter the account number for distribution. Now I have to change to hit the arrow instead. It also no longer defaults 100% of the amount into the first distribution so I now have to type the total amount a second time.

I have since found that I have to “arrow right" to move to distribution account. It no longer defaults 100% of the amount into the first distribution. So now I have to type the total amount a second time. I am very disappointed in the design of these changes and wonder who thought that this improved anything.

    I agree that the changes are not positive. I would like to know what aspects of invoice entry have been improved through this update, because they are not apparent to me. I have emailed my main issues, but here is another problem that I just encountered.

    I was entering an invoice, made an error in distribution, corrected it, but was unable to save the invoice. I tried to delete the distribution to re-enter, but that option was not available. I had to cancel the invoice and re-enter.
