There used to be a sidebar that showed a quick view method of journal entries in General Ledger. Now, when I click a journal entry, it opens the full record on a new page. Is the sidebar feature gone?

    I noticed that too. While I do like the layout of the JE screen better, I think I will miss not having that fly-out-side window thing. Hopefully, they will bring that back.

    I agree, I'm missing it now! I hope they add that back. To be more specific, I liked to preview the GL entries as I approved them for posting. Now, I have to open every entry to review coding…which makes my work flow take more than double the prior amount of time.

    I also could preview attachments when approving JE from my staff, now I have to open every entry to determine if it can be approved.

    I don't miss the sidebar feature at all (sorry), but maybe there could be an option to do one or the other?

    The NOTES Box is about 6 lines too big. I have to scroll to get to the data entry. Please remove 80% of the lines in the notes box

    It was highly effective for me and my coworkers as we attach quite a few documents to each journal entry in NXT. Now we have to open each journal entry just to upload a document, even for reviews, I have to download the document instead of just viewing it online.

    I am totally missing the ability to preview a journal when I am reviewing for posting. I am also having issues getting my column settings back to the way I want them in web view.

    I could not agree more! Taking away that sidebar really changes productivity and processes!

    Since the quick view side bar is popular with many people (but not me), why don't you add a column between the “…” and the ID column with a little eye icon. People click on that to see the quick view side bar. I think both opinions would be satisfied.

    Hi Sannyasin - I don't see the option to you are referring to? There is a specific list of columns available to add and I don't see this. Can you elaborate?

    It opens the entire journal entry, that eye icon only comes up when u hover our mouse over the ‘…’

    it then proceeds to download each file saying my browser does not support the viewing option.

    Sorry. I meant this as an idea for a new feature. I think it would work great and quickly give the option of the quick view, or opening the full record.
