How do you delete credit card information from completed or terminated recurring gifts in NXT?

    You can delete this information in database view in the gift records. As far as I know there is no way to do it directly from webview - and in fact, the pertinent “Help” window in webview - Gifts states: “Tip: In the database view, you can manage payment information from the Gift tab of the donor’s constituent record.”

    Thank you, but I don't see where the information is stored in database view. Just trying to eliminate the record so it doesn't keep updating with the credit card updater and also so we're not holding info we don't need to be holding

    Historically card info could be stored on the bio 2 tab. Also, look on the recurring gift record. It would be there as well to pull the payment info to process the recurring payment.

    Thanks, but cc info for recurring gifts set up in NXT do not show in database view. Trying to find a way in webview. Appreciate the help though.

    Interesting, if it's there in web view it's sure hidden well! What's interesting is I can see tokened card info for web batch recurring gift pay-cash in db view but not on the recurring gift entry.

    Hi @Cathi Christopher - I don't think there is a way to delete cc info out of a recurring gift that is/was apart of the Automated Recurring gift feature. There are options to amend payment, but that is to replace existing cc info with new cc info. I recommend you reach out to support on this one, I am curious as to what they say. Also check out the RE NXT Idea Bank and see if this is listed there.

    Hm, wonder if you could “amend payment” with a blank or fictitious payment number, if your goal is to remove un-needed sensitive information from the system. Seconding the request, please share what you learn!

    Ok, talked with support. The only way to delete credit cards on NXT automatic recurring gifts currently is on each individual transaction in database view. They sent me this article about how to delete in groups to help.
