Should we make Athletic seasons last all year?

Some of our Athletics coaches want to use the Announcements/Notifications feature when the team is out of season. According to a KB article, notifications will not be sent before or after the season - only during the season.

We currently overlap the seasons by a few days. Our Asst Athletics Director asked about making fall, winter, and spring seasons all start on 7/1 and end on 6/30, so that all teams will always be “in season” for the purpose of notifications.

Have you done that? Did you have other problems due to three year-long seasons?

    Hello Brian,

    We have our high school teams running all year and our middle school teams only seasonally.

    We do not have any issues with that.

    Our high school wants to show the record of their games to the public all year long, whereas the middle school teams are not competitive, so we only allow those in season to show to the public.
