Accounts Receivable Module?

Where is the Accounts Receivable Module located? Is it part of the basic Financial Edge NXT package? Or a separate module that you purchase?

    Currently it is in the Database view. They have not implemented a NXT version as of yet.

    Can you explain to me what a database view is?


    So there is no way to enter an invoice before any money is received. Customer Revenue can only be recorded through cash receipts?

    Database view is the full version of FE, you get to it by clicking on the round discs on the top right corner area next to your initials/user name when logged into FE NXT.


    When you get to the full program, near the top you can select the modules, GL, AP, AR, Cash Receipts. Those are the selections that I can access.


    If you don't have access to it, then you will have to find out from your IT people or through BB on why you can't get to the module.

    Our Blackbaud Sales Order lists what modules came with our purchase.


    At the top of the Home Page in Database view under the toolbar there is a dropdown arrow next to "General Ledger". This is where you would click on Accounts Receivable. If you don't have security rights it won't show so be aware of that. You can enter an invoice there.

    We implemented FE NXT last June. At the time we had hoped that AR would be in NXT by then, but I was told with the pandemic they halted AR in NXT. We are still waiting. There have been questions from developers to users asking about AR in the meantime, so I can only hope that they are back to working on AR in NXT again. It would be nice to hear what the progress on AR in NXT is at.

    We are indeed back at work on A/R, we gave a recent update at our client product update briefing and will have more to show at the next briefing in the fall.

    We were told AR would be available in NXT before we went live on 1-1-2020. Still waiting.
