We are unable to update appeal on a Gift

we are using the REST API to update appeal on Gift and we are using this endpoint.

PATCH https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/gift/v1/gifts/{gift_id}

Body:

{"gift_splits": [ {"appeal_id": "5112"}]}

The endpoint returns 200 which indicates a successful call but the appeal on the record is not updated.

Hi @Mona Coulavin - I might be missing something, the https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/gift/v1/gifts/{giftid} endpoint doesn't appear to take “gift_splits” as an input property. Can you please confirm the endpoint you are calling to update the appeal?

Hello Mona,

The PATCH endpoint does not have the ability at this time to take a gift_splits update. We are currently tracking the need/desire for it here.

I'm on Mona's team. Does this mean we won't be able to update any gift's appeal ID?

I'm currently trying with this path: PATCH https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/nxt-data-integration/v1/re/appeals/{id}

It takes the correct appeal system record ID and returns 200 but does not update the value in the gift…
