Query for Accountant (Scheduled program events)

Hoping you have some flash of brilliance here as I can't figure this out. I assume we can do it through a query, but think I'm asking the wrong questions.

We have scheduled programs that function as catergories (i.e. “symposium” “family programs”). Then we have program events under those catergories (i.e. “symposium>Olmsted Lecture”). Our accountant would like for us to assign class codes for each of those program events so that she can know which site ran them and which site gets that revenue. (i.e. Sympoisum>Olmsted Lecture 4515 IT - where 4515 is the GL and IT is the site name abbreviation). I can obviously change all the names so that it shows up that way - but I can't get it in the reporting. Total Revenue report shows the upper two levels, but not this “third level” of program events.

Is there a way to break it down like that - by adding an additional reporting level?

  • Have you looked at the Program Revenue report (Analysis > Sales Reports > Program revenue)? It breaks down revenue by Program Event.

  • Thanks. This gets us down the line a little - but doesn't connect with the disbursement information so that they can compare what goes into the bank and which program that aligns with. I feel like I have to build it, but just not sure how.
