Call API for student and teacher emails

I’m a fairly novice programmer but I’ve been asked by a school to generate a google sheets list of student and staff email addresses. I’ve never used the API before. Can anyone help me step through how to call the API using google sheets/script and generate a list like this? The blackbaud guides I’ve found online haven’t helped much. Thank you!

    Hi David,

    During our developer's conference last year, we did have a session that demonstrated the use of Google Sheets and SKY API in the context of a school. The session materials weren't turned into a formal code sample; however, the session video and a PDF of the code used in that demo are still available.
