Missing 2nd Quarter/Fall Semester Grade for system to calculate

What are the steps/procedure in order to have the system calculate a student's Final Grade, since there are no 2nd Quarter/Fall Semester Grades for the system to calculate (student enrolled in school in February).

Also, what are the steps/procedure in order to have the system calculate a student's Final Grade for a course, when a student moved sections at beginning of Spring Semester (was enrolled in different section during Fall semester)?

    Hi, unfortunately, the system cannot calculate the grade in this instance. You will need to look and see what the students Fall Semester grade was and then do a manual calculation based on your formula. Once you arrive at that grade, enter it manually.

    There are ways around the manual calculation if you know the student's prior term grade.

    Sketch: Create a new grade in the gradebook but do not add it to the cumulative grade. Input their past term grade there. In “Grading,” check that particular student only and use that particular gradebook grade as a % of their current term grade.
