Tracking faculty professional development

Has anyone found or developed a method within Blackbaud to enter and track faculty professional development activities and hours?

  • @Denise Williams This would be very helpful, but I haven't found a way to do this in Blackbaud. Have you found a solution in Blackbaud or elsewhere?

  • @Lori MacConnell
unfortunately, no! I think our PD folks are trying to figure out another way. Let me know if you have any ideas!

  • @Denise Williams We are also looking for a solution to this. I'd love to hear if anyone has found a way to do it in blackbaud.

  • Have there been any updates to tracking Professional Development for Faculty in Blackbaud?

  • In Core > Settings > General Settings > Custom Fields > Admin View Only Fields, our school has setup a "Employee Professional Growth" text input field that is set to not unique and not required. We use it to track the date, the dollar amount, and the name of the professional development the employee received. It keeps a running list of everything. In a Core User List, you can generate a list of current teachers and you can add this Admin View Only Field as a column and export the entire thing to Excel. Not a particularly robust way to track professional development, but it has been working well for us.
