Acknowledgement Letter GET endpoint, for list of available Acknowledgment Letters

Are there plans, or any way that I'm not seeing immediately in the documentation, to add in a GET list endpoint for Acknowledgement Letters? Within our integration we have a setting for selecting an acknowledgment letter for a gift, but right now since there's no endpoint to get all available letters we're requiring the user to manually type in the name of their letter.

I did see the patch gift acknowledgement endpoint, but have not found anything related to listing out gift acknowledgments.

Thank you!

  • @Qgiv Product What are you trying to achieve? do letter generation based on letter code variable?

  • @Ashley Gelderblom we're developing an integration to export transaction data from a third-party service into Raiser's Edge NXT; part of that involves configuring settings within the third party to control how the gifts get created.

One of those settings is a setting to set the “Acknowledgement Letter” on a gift when exporting to Raiser's Edge NXT.

There doesn't appear to be a non-admin accessible endpoint to easily get the list of all acknowledgement letters that the client has in their Raiser's Edge NXT instance, so this request is to add a list endpoint that would allow us to display a dropdown of all acknowledgement letters to our users when they are configuring settings for the integration on our side!

  • Also, just for reference, this thread was bumped with

, there's some more discussion that has occurred on that bumped thread.

@Qgiv Product I replied to the listed thread and it looks like you started an idea for this post. We will track that idea and see about implementing down the road. It looks like both threads deal with the same issue so if there is anything else that is not dealing with an endpoint for acknowledgement letters we should get that in a new post for review.
