Assignment Status - Set default to "To Do"

Our students would like all new assignments that are posted to have the Status column automatically set to “To Do” . Currently students have to (with multiple clicks) edit each assignment status in the “Available Action” column just to set it to “To Do”. Are any other schools finding this to be a issue?

    @Katherine Lewis Yes, I submitted a support ticket and they told me it's a known issue but no idea if/when a fix will come. I thought a work around was for the student to select the To do status but apparently it goes back to blank when the page refreshes. I was told the work around for now is to consider the blanks as To do…
