Bank Feed Configuration

We are currently utilizing the bank feed which has been great, however the automatching/clearing is a problem when we get into a new month before the previous month has been reconciled. I have found where I can uncheck the automatch options but I am nervous that it will mess up the current feed if I change the settings. Can someone verify that I can toggle these on and off without issue?

    turning off the auto-match just means you can download information from your banks using the bank feed, but then nothing will attempt to match, meaning you'd do it all manually. That essentially defeats the purpose of bank feed itself as it was to help the manual process of pulling up your bank site or your bank statement then going through the bank rec window or bank register to clear transactions. but turning it off should only affect anything moving forward after you tell it not to auto clear.
