Issues with Tributes in NXT

We had our first Tribute gift come through in NXT. It seems like a very cumbersome process. It's creating new records and there isn't an an ability to edit or merge the tribute in NXT before the gift is approved. We now have 2 of the same honoree/memorial gift on the tribute record. We are only able to update and correct the issues back in database view. Has anyone else seemed to have these issues or any helpful tips or tricks?

    @Heather Riegel - Tributes on NXT donation forms are also processed by the Automatic Constituent Matching tool, the same as donor information. See below for a link that outlines how it searches and finds matching constituents based on tribute information collected on the form:

    @Heather Riegel we had to cancel using it through the NXT form as it just made more work and that was only when we had a few come in! The matching is not good enough to catch everything as some people don't put in the same information which just clutters up the database and unnecessarily creates extra Tribute records. They also don't appear correctly when you go look at them in DB view, which just complicates the matter further. I know I posted about this previously here:

    @Heather Riegel This is why we don't use the Tribute module at all, but use Attributes on the Gifts to capture tribute information; and we use Online Express forms because NXT forms do not offer Gift Attributes as an optional fields like Online Express forms do.
