Attendance Code for Absent for School Sponsored Activity

We have set up an Attendance Code to account for students who are Absent for a School Sponsored Activity and marked it as not included in calculations, but it still counts in their absence totals on report cards. Any suggestions on how to account for these instances?

    @Karen McCue we have our School Activity code set up under the Absent Excused category. Any event that is school related shouldn't count against the student's attendance record. We also don't have this code in calculations

    @Karen McCue, we have a separate category of codes for this like retreat, testing, recruitment and in-school field trip ( like a presenter for a specific class) so that they don't count against the student but we can track what they were doing to not be in class. It helps clarify things for us without having to add notes to every entry.
