Income Statement Subtotals

Is there a way to add subtotals on my income statement? I'd like there to be a line for Total Revenue and Total Expenses.

Thank you!

@Nancy McMahon totals / groupings are controlled by the Visual Chart Organizer ( database view name) / Chart Organizer ( web view name) . So you just need to look at the Template you're using on the Income Statement, then check / edit that template to make sure there are totals on that particular template. Then they should show up on your report when run.

  • @Kevin Brazell I have a header row, followed by a detail row followed by a total row and I am still not able to get the total row to appear on the report. Also, is there a way for all my ticket sales lines to appear summarized? I have 6 home games and would like the total revenue for all those games to be one line item. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Nancy McMahon. A row you put in as a header in your chart organizer will automatically have a total row added at the end of that section if it has any subsections. In the example below, you can see the chart organizer and then the report structure. I get a total line for Expenses and Helping Hands Expenses because they have additional subsections. I don't get a total line for Paryoll Expenses, General Supplies or Utilities because I would look at that row in the report to see the total.

So in your example, Football doesn't have any subsections to total, just a detail line.

To get your 6 home games summarized, you would need to add a detail line for each one and then that total would roll up to the header.

Hope that helps! If you organization has a training subscription, Blackbaud University has several 90 minute classes that give you some practice with this.

  • @Marie Broek Thank you! I took classes before implementation but now we that we are up and running I think I may need some refreshers.
