Bank Rec adjustments missing from Bank Rec and Register
I created an adjustment from the Bank Account page . The adjustment is posted but does not show up in the bank rec or bank register. It is reflected in the GL detail of the account. Has anyone had this issue?

@Jen Ocampo Could be the transaction date is different than the post date, making it difficult to find in the register. A quick query could help locate it but feel free to contact Support for some assistance!

@Nikki Baldwin thanks for your quick reply. I"ve contacted support and have been on a chat for the past hour and they are still trying to figure it out? Appreciate your suggestion though

@Jen Ocampo When you made the Journal Entry did you check the box “create bank adjustments when posting to the bank's cash account”. This box always throws me off. Good luck!

@Nancy McMahon Hi Nancy, I posted the entry via the “add adjustment” from the Bank Account page so that was not an available option. Weirdly, I had just posted an adjustment the exact same way for the prior month and all was good. Thanks for replying!

@Jen Ocampo The date may be the issue, even in add adjustments. You have a date in 2 places that have to match. I've forgotten to change the date in the second field and it will post in a different month than I actually want it to appear in.

@Sharelle Buyer thanks for that tip- i checked the dates and they were ok. Support suggested to enter an adjustment but mark “ do not Post” . it resolves this issue but they are unable to tell me why it happened.

@Jen Ocampo This happen to me this morning. Dis your entries end up coming through in the bank rec module? My concern with making a one sided adjustment is that eventually the original entry may randomly show up.

@Jen Ocampo, we are having the same issue and I was chatting this morning and sent several screen shots but haven't heard anything yet. I did add adjustments for now, but I don't want to keep doing that!

@Pam Schlessel unforutnately spent too much time on chat to find no real solutions other than creating a “do not post” adjustment. If I learn anything more, I will be sure to share here.

Having the same issue. All batches posted to bank accounts did not create adjustments in register. Talking to support now. Very slow response. I have a business rule to create bank adjustment by default.0 -
@Alexander Frenkel were your batches created via “adjustment” or by a journal entry?

was Support able to figure this out? I'm having the same issue. I posted batches from RE to FE by journal entry & they are not on the register.

@Cathi Christopher they told me to post an adjustment as a “do not post” instructions they shared with me below-
To correct this you can create a new adjustment and mark it Do Not Post if the GL cash account is correct.

@Jen Ocampo I am having the same issue, which began on 10/27/2022. I submitted a CASE to Blackbaud and am still waiting on a resolution.

We were advised yesterday to only post Adjustments and Journal Entries through the Database view until the issue is resolved. They are currently working on a fix, but not able to give a timeline of when that fix will be available. To fix prior posts with issues, use article number 200580 in knowledgebase.0 -
@Kristie Myers ah OK. I tried doing a do-not-post, and it did nothing to help fix the issue. Guess I will just have to wait it out.

@Kristie Myers I find it frustrating that this is going on but Blackbaud doesn't let us know. I just stumbled upon the problem this afternoon and have at least 25 journal entries that have not been recorded in the bank register. How many other Blackbaud clients are happily posting journal entries that aren't being recorded in their bank registers? Shouldn't Blackbaud have notified us of a potential problem?? ?

@Christy Salinas yeah, and I wonder how long this is going to be. I can certainly make these JEs in database view if I have to, but should I delete the NXT entries in question and reenter them in database? If this is going to take much longer……..maybe I should?

@Patrick Lunn That's what I did. I reversed the original entries and posted the reversals in NXT. Then I went to database view, copied the original entries, and posted them there. It's a lot of extra work, but everything posted as it should have. And I agree - it's frustrating to have to hunt through discussion posts to find out what's going on. We're talking about posting cash transactions to the register, which is an issue that probably affects all of us.
