Transcript Design Questions

We were finally able to get our courses and grades to appear after a lot of troubleshooting the setup! Now can finally get to the more “fun” aspect in designing, and was wondering how other schools might be doing their transcripts or if some of these could be answered/advised:

  • Resolved the other points!
  • If anyone is willing to share a redacted sample transcript and how their set up may be that would be appreciated! --This was just the minimum to get all the information to appear as needed and I feel like it can have “more”, but the new builder feels somewhat limiting in design (I may just not be thinking outside the box enough), but was hoping I could draw some inspiration for how others might be setting up their transcripts.

Here's a sample of how we have our transcripts set up. It took forever to get it how we wanted it, but part of that is that we're really picky. LOL The advantages over the old transcript made it worth while. The new one looks so much better and is much more concise and readable. Good luck!

  • @Toledo Christian Schools Thanks for sharing!

One thing I noticed you did I'm trying to add to our transcript; the signature/date line at the bottom--I know there's a signature line option but this doesn't let us put a signing date line so I resorted to using the text option to manually type in Signature/Date: ______ etc.--

Did you end up having to eyeball a horizontal space height to get it to the bottom (this way won't seem to work with different transcripts having different bottom space), or use another option to add that signature and date aligned to the bottom?

    Thanks again!

  • @Nathan Ong Yes, we just eyeballed it with a text box. We have three boxes within the same row/region so we can be sure they all align at the tops of those boxes no matter how the course listings above them end up looking. We have the credit listing tally and signature/date text box in the left 50%, and the test scores box in the right 50%. We also have a small (0.1 inches in height) spacer box above both to give a small amount of breathing room.
