Has anyone had trouble exporting to PDF from printing checks or JE posting report?

I had several users report to me today that they received error messages when trying to export to PDF from printing checks task and JE posting report. The error read: Failed to load PDF document. And had the option to “Reload” This Reload button did not work. Both users were in Google Chrome. I'm told they can print these directly from the browser if they use Firefox, so we are going to try that tomorrow. But why are they getting an error when exporting to PDF?

    Not on the day you did, but I've had a few clients that had a similar error and it persisted when it shoud not have. In that case we made a support case and they had to resolve the error as it was on blackbaud's end. IF you're still getting the error, definitely make a support case.

  • @Gina Smith This has actually been an intermittent issue for us. When it does happen, we have to go through database view.

    If you go into the database view and start the process of printing the checks: (inputting the payment date, printer options, then selecting “Create Now” at the bottom), go back into FE NXT and the error message should disappear, letting you print the checks from FE NXT instead.

    It is almost as if when it loads the check printing process in database view, it fixes the issue in FE NXT. This has worked for me each time I have had this issue. Last time I did this was 2-3 weeks ago. So, I hope it still works.

    We have also had issues with printing checks. Also not the first time. And still waiting for them to fix it…third day. They always say you can print checks from database - which is a whole other set of problems. I thought the point of having NXT is so we don't have to use database any more. They can never do away with the database view because we still have to rely on it so much.
