Is there a Memorial/Honor Card integration for Raiser's Edge NXT?

I would like to look into having a memorial card/honor card integration that allows the donor to enter the info and view the card.

    @Hannah Wiginton I'm not sure if this is an NXT function. We have a page for eCards, but it is within NetCommunity, not NXT.

    I hope you find an answer that works for your organization.

    Hi Hannah,

    This is going to be a pretty comprehensive answer, just because language seems to matter so much more with NXT now. Nothing below is intended to be patronizing and I'm not trying to assume what you do or don't know.

    The short answer is no - there is no actual card that a donor can send. For the lengthier explanation of what IS possible, you can continue, or not!

    First, NXT is simply the latest version of RE. NXT still includes the database view that many organizations have used for 20+ years, but also includes webview.

    Blackbaud refers to this group of people as “Acknowledgees”. So when my father died and my coworkers sent a gift, they asked that I be notified of their donation. In that case, I was the acknowledgee.

    You would need the Tribute module in order to make this work most seamlessly. All management of Tribute information - the honoree's name, linking the gift to them, specifying acknowledgees, sending communication or reports to the family as well as the acknowledgees - would exist only in database view..

    Both Online Express (OLX) (database view donation forms) and webview donation forms can accept Tribute donations. If you use webview donation forms, you can optionally include the acknowledgee's email address on the donation form, and if the donor adds an email, you could send an email to the acknowledgee. That is the extent - in webview - of notification options.

    In my experience, every organization handles this in a completely different way. They send letters for each tribute, or send a weekly report of donors, or hand-write cards, or print cards in their printers. Some make use of the Acknowledgee functionality and others don't

    @La Donna Borth Unfortunately, NC is not included within RE NXT natively, it is an add-on. Good to know that this exists though!

    Thank you. Yes, I understand all of that. We've used RE (+Tribute module) since 2011. I was specifically looking for a way that the donor can give a donation, then fill out a memorial card online and have it be sent via postal mail or email. All as an Integration with RENXT, which we've also had since it first was launched.

    For more context, donate to the Alzheimer's Association and you'll see what I'm referring to. Once you donate, they allow you to design and fill in memorial card information and you can choose to have it sent via postal mail or email.

    Here's what it looks like once you've completed the donation.

    Thanks! Yeah that's definitely the idea of what I'm wanting. We do have NetCommunity and we used to use it for donation forms before Online Express. Didn't realize it had that option.

    I would like to move forward with NXT Donation forms and was hoping I could find something similar to that for NXT, rather than go back to NetCommunity.
