Generating Stage 2 applications in bulk

We are starting a two-stage application process and have selected the Stage 1 requests to go forward to Stage 2. Is it possible to generate the Stage 2 application form - and the resulting email to alert them - to more than one organisation at a time?

At the moment it looks as if you need to do this for EACH request

  • open the Stage 1 request
  • click ‘generate Stage 2 form’
  • select the email correspondence box
  • select the correct template etc
  • and then finally send…

We have a relatively high number of applications to push through to Stage 2 for a large grant programme. Is it really not possible to do this in bulk instead of one at a time?!

    Hi Charlotte - sadly, not. We have this problem too and there are many ideas in the ideas portal you can vote on for this functionality to be introduced.
    Be aware that once a stage 2 form is generated, you cannot reverse that action from within BBGM. There is “un-generate” option if the wrong form has been published, for example.
    The Stage 2 functionality has a lot of positives but in some areas it is still very lacking.

    Thank you David, I feared as much. What I am finding particularly frustrating is the apparent lack of ‘how to’, guidance or notes on how to manage a 2-stage process. I'm making reasonably educated guesses but it's still frustratingly complex to set up and very difficult to test before launching it on an unsuspecting applicant group.

    @Charlotte Burke Hi - the ‘idea’ ticket that David mentioned (I just hunted it down) - it GMK-I-1300) If this link doesnt work for it you can type Stage 2 in the search ideas box and it should come up.

    (I also wish we can generate stage 2 in batches!)

    There is also another issue with this to be aware of - if you have generated a stage 2 form to an applicant, but they then havent filled in and submitted it - you wont be able to decline the request yourself. We currently have to ask our support partner buzzacott to decline them on the server for us.
