K-12 Outages

There have been a lot of issues with K-12 access being unavailable lately. It's really hard to keep apologizing for the system being down. I send out an email to all our faculty and staff to notify them of the issue and to take paper attendance or email our attendance officers but they're also getting frustrated with these issues. We're going to be starting mid-terms and end of semester grading so having the system function is crucial right now. Does anyone know if there something in the works to stop the relatively frequent issues that have been happening?

  • @Vicky Lopuchowycz I also agree - this year has been very bad with outages! Happens to us right at finals or beginning of school or when trying to get grades done for report card postings. Any time is never a good time in academics - our teacher solely use this platform and when it is down so often they and students get frustrated. Wish they would let the Administrators of the software know what the outages were and why they happened.

  • @Vicky Lopuchowycz I completely agree. There is not enough transparency. How are we suppose to trust the platform and ask our users to rely on it without detailed explanations and plans for improvement?

  • I would like to see the status page be more up-to-date. It seems often that it takes a long time [an hour or more] before the page is updated to indicate an outage, so when we're experiencing it, the only way to deal with it is to call up, which is a waste of our time and the analysts' time if it's a known issue that is being worked on.
