Daily Sales Buttons - Merchandise?

Is there a way to make a button for a specific merchandise item on Daily Sales screen instead of having to search the inventory every time?

The inventory search function is not the most user friendly and some associates struggle with it. We also have a few items that are very popular, and it would save us a lot of time if we could tap a button on daily sales for that specific inventory item. At the moment I can only see the option for the one "Merchandise' button.

    Hi Lydia,

    Unfortunately there is not a way to add a button to daily sales for a specific merchandise item. As you've discovered, the only option is the one Merchandise button that brings you to the search page.

    You stated, “The inventory search function is not the most user friendly and some associates struggle with it.”

    It sounds like you aren't using a scanner to lookup barcodes for each item? Can you describe how your cashiers are currently adding merchandise items to the sales order? There may be something you can do to improve your current process…

    @Lydia Lingerfeltwe use a barcode to scan for each item sold. We use this for our carousel tickets etc.

    Thank you for the response. Most items do have a barcode, however we do have a number of popular smaller items that we cannot attach a barcode to. We have sheets to scan items but sometimes those are cumbersome as well.

    We also use scan sheets for tiny items. I agree they are cumbersome to use and to update.

    We also use keywords in the barcode/alternative lookup for a few items. So it there is one item you sell over and over, you can create a keyword as the barcode and type that in instead.
