Export excel data issue?

Anybody having issues with using the “Export Excel Data” in the FE:NXT Report module?

We regularly export GL Detail transaction listing and lately, since last week, when I try to export from the report, nothing saves. If I save as PDF, I'll get a PDF but when I run and view in my web browser, MS Edge, I can see the gl details, but exporting to either Excel options, does not produce any readable file, it's a small file size, 1KB, when typically it's over 500 KB for my entire gl.

I just ran a report and exported it to excel data in a sample DB. export worked. Your issue may be database specific. I would recommend calling / chatting with FE support so they can investigate and see if there is something going on with your specific FENXT database.

I just ran my ‘test’ report this morning and the issue is still present. Had an issue with another report last night and just ran it through the database mode.

Yes, am starting a ticket this morning, since support closes at 3pm my time. Can't recall when the support time changed, but probably sometime last year.

  • Update:

Have got a case in and the support person was able to recreate the issue on their sample database. Issue being referred to an engineer.

My GL detail report of approx 30 pages and greater, won't export to an excel file.

Took 1.5 hours on chat hold.

  • Update:

A fix was applied to my FENXT that has fixed the issue.

The process could have improved by having support screen shot my steps in generating the report and the issues. There was a lag of about a day as the engineers needed to see all the steps.

I could generate the report from the database view and export.

I could generate the report in FENXT and view on screen, export to PDF and Word, but none of the excel options worked.

Always log a ticket with support and ensure they get some screens shots if they can't replicate the issue. My guess is it was something to do with our backend setup.
