Making a READ ONLY database

How do you give someone READ ONLY access to your CRM database. I have been trying with System Roles/Groups but I cannot get it to give me read access to ALL data. I would like the user to be able to see all data but not be able to change anything. Is there a way to do this simply?

    Hi Judy - are you hosted or Local installation? If Locally installed, then you can set up a database Role and make the account part of that
