    @Crystal Bruce - Loved seeing the roadmaps and what features are planned for the near future.

    @Crystal Bruce Liked seeing the roadmap as Austen cited. Do have some questions about online donations thru webview - how does donor specify correct fund from the 100s available. Was not able to attend the live session. :( Distinguishing registration $ on records from gifts especially with option for constituent to run their own annual statement. Just did recorded session yesterday and haven't had time to pursue answering questions I noted.

  • @Crystal Bruce
    I look forward to these briefings when they occur. It is great to see the enhancements to the Portal. The additions to the Donation form to include additional fields is a real game changer. We have been waiting a long time to be able to use event forms in RENXT, especially for golf tournaments.

  • @Crystal Bruce It was good to hear that RE7 isn't going away in the near future!

    It would be great if the description for the update included whether there are any announcements for us (because otherwise there's no real reason to attend) and to know that they will be made at the beginning with an announcement afterward along the lines of, “OK RE7 folks, that's it for you" so we know we can sign off.

    @Crystal Bruce I liked seeing the game plan and timeline. Will be happy to see query in webview.

    @Crystal Bruce Was interesting but I am not holding my breath, since this whole RE NXT roll-out has been taking so long since it has been in micro doses.

  • @Crystal Bruce We are very much looking forward to the List enhancements.

  • @Crystal Bruce to know that RE 7 isn't going away when FE's equivalent has a sunset date is kind of frustrating. We can't have one source of truth with two separate systems we have to consult to do our work.

  • @Crystal Bruce I always appreciate seeing the timeline. The query builder feature is something to look forward to. And I guess we knew there would be the potential to disable the Media tab in the future.

    @Crystal Bruce The PUBs are great and it feels like there is some real change for web view coming. I hope the momentum keeps up but I also hope it's not being sacrificed for basic routine maintenance issues at BB.

    I haven't found the time to watch (or listen) yet, but hopefully will find the time soon.

  • @Crystal Bruce looking forward to query in web view and the expanded sort in lists. It will help to make web view more viable for our organization in getting the information to my fundraisers. I really liked the time line and breakdown of what is coming and what to look for.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm loving the enhancements with the donation forms and I'm excited to dig into the Power Automate templates! It looks like @Dan Snyder is going to be tackling that in is bbdevdays session next month.

  • I finally had a chance to watch, and the key thing preventing nearly every one of my clients from using webview donation and event forms is not going to be corrected. But I might have misheard, so would like some confirmation!

    It seems that there will be a change to constituent matching from donation and event forms, but only for unmatched donors. But the problem is with the automatic matching.

    Is it true that the Constituent records with discrepancies can be reviewed, but not the automatic matches?

    Thanks!

    Karen

  • @Crystal Bruce I was actually thrilled to hear BB address the DBV elephant in the room finally. I can't wait until RE is offered as a single cloud based solution bc I get tired of not having the time to learn valuable new tools and skills (esp with Power Automate) because I have to babysit database view and all of the staff who don't like/know to use it.

    unfortunately though I don't think the ability to set default values in gift batch was even addressed and that just makes 90% of gift processing non -viable for wbv

    @Crystal Bruce

    Like others have mentioned, it was good to see the look ahead roadmap - particularly, list upgrades, query builder and some of the things planned for 2024 like email and print mail merge!

  • @Spring Velazquez Ref: Default sets: Have you looked at using gift webhooks to trigger automatic updates to newly added gifts? If you are looking at default sets you can apply fields post the gift being added (and within a very short timeframe). These sets could be conditional on a gift custom field value (or other value) or even just be the same for all gifts.

    If you are not into coding/power automate though the same process can be accomplished using tools like our SmartSYNC to do the webhook > gift update in an easily intelligible way and with our team helping.

    This would work now - no waiting for features - but obviously is another step to set up in the first place. Anyway, if you'd like to talk it over more email our support team support@smartthing.org and we can set something up.

    @Crystal Bruce
    I was most excited to hear that we would have the ability to start matching records in web view instead of automatically creating duplicate records. This has been our biggest pain point with web donation forms!

  • @Crystal Bruce
    The Roadmap Webinar highlighted some promising updates - particularly query! I am looking forward to being able to use query in the web view.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm very much looking forward to query builder in WebView and also the memorial/tribute feature.

  • @Crystal Bruce The roadmaps have me feeling more optimistic about our organization's needs being met in the future of RE NXT.

  • @Crystal Bruce
    My team and I are excited to see the gift types that are being added. I am personally excited about the query builder in NXT as well. However, there are still lots of features that NXT does not presently have. It makes us difficult and weary to transition to NXT until some of those features from the Database are fully added.

    @Crystal Bruce finally had a free minute to catch up! I am excited to see the new Query Builder. Lists have proven helpful but having those extras query can provide will be a great help. The new enhancements for donation and event forms are really exciting, too. I am hopeful they will soon meet more of our needs.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm looking forward to query builder in web view.

  • @Crystal Bruce Thanks for the reminder to watch the Product Update Briefing! I just finished watching the one for Raiser's Edge NXT and Wow! there are a LOT of items on the roadmap!

    I'm most excited about the donation form upgrades, particularly the ‘pass values’ and hidden campaign and appeal fields.

    I'm also excited about the event registration forms! We've been using EventBrite for our events because it's a simpler user experience, but now I'm hopeful that we can go back to using reg. forms in NXT.

    @Crystal Bruce I'm looking forward to enhanced reporting on pledges and cash flow, as well as the query builder in NXT. Hopefully the name of the query builder will be “Query”

  • @Crystal Bruce I think that the Query and List updates look very nice, I'm concerned about email functionality, as well as continued auto matching with regard to online gifts.

  • @Crystal Bruce, I'm most excited about the pledge functionality that is coming to web view as well as the ability to edit and update the PDF receipts. We're also excited about the multiperson registration option; we allow our donors to bring a guest to some functions and we don't always get their names for nametags. This may help!

    I would love to use Portal because of all the features, but I don't think my organization is ready to launch it yet.

    @Crystal Bruce
    I shared the update information with our Events and Promotions Coordinator. We are looking forward to the enhanced donation and events forms. It was nice to hear about the new and improved experiences in Database/WebView and given a timeline of the implementations. All of these new features will help us better manage and view our data.
