Transcript Issues - how can we suppress 0.00 from showing up?

Our old transcripts in EE looked like this:

We need to split the semesters because districts do credit checks by semester, but two things happen:

  • 0.0 units populate where students don't have classes for the term
  • Total cumulative does not total correctly and only totals the last semester

Now the second part I think I have a workaround by just adding an additional column that shows the total. It's a bit clunkier but at least the information is on there:

So the only thing is removing those 0.00 credits--I wish it were a non-issue, but because we have students from various districts that do their own credit checks, we are getting some confusion on why students have 0.00 credits earned even if there isn't a grade in the corresponding column.

Does anyone else do their transcripts with split semester credits?

Thank you!

  • @Nathan Ong how is your Sem 1 Credits/Sem 2 Credits column(s) set up?

  • @Nathan Ong thanks. Without being in your system I am out of ideas. If you A classes are only offered during semester 1 and B classes only offered during semester 2 make sure they are not offered during the semesters they aren't being scheduled.

  • @Jennifer Welch

Thank you for your help--the classes aren't offered in those other semesters, but chatted with support who asked their programming team and said that 0.00's aren't able to be suppressed, though this was an idea suggested before –

We are reformatting all of our year-long courses to be split into semester long (two parts) to work around this.

    Thanks again!
