Log SG/RG gifts processed by a third party without BB transaction

Hi all,

We are trying to log Single Gifts and Regular Gift first payments that are processed by a third party.

These could be paypal, credit card or direct debit donations. I do not have access to all credit card details used in these third party transactions like the full card number, but what we do have my organisation wants logged in RE. I do have Direct Debit information which we also want to write to the payment method direct debit fields (bank relationships). We also want to log regular gift recurring schedule fields but not necessarily process any ongoing regular donations.

When trying to setup a recurring gift schedule in the gifts API it throws the following error: A request was made to add a recurring gift without an account token

The only credit card/direct debit fields I can see are accessed via the payments API. There is nothing in the gift API that I can see where you can write to these payment method fields without having to call the payment API to process the donation.

Can I use the payments or Gift API to mearly log these donation details and not perform any transaction?

Can someone point me in the right direction please?
