I am going to try and keep this basic. My thought/theory would be to try and create a flow/system where if we had an external mechanism like a Microsoft form for inputting our in-kind donations that we could create those gifts in Raiser's Edge.

I am not sure that is possible since GIK is a payment type.

We get so many inkind donations it would just be easier to automate the process more generate a letter code and be able to turn things around more quickly rather than manually entering each donation. As we are looking at PowerAutomate for other functionality I thought of this one.

Keeping this general as I am open to thoughts and additions to the above. Any and all advice appreciated.

    The POST Create Gift API endpoints does allow for the creation of new gift with type GiftInKind.

    So yes, you should be able to use a Form to gather all the needed info and then process it through a flow to create a InKind gift record.

    @Alex Wong thank you! We are just embarking on PowerAutomate and all of this. Would be so much easier if we could create something to capture our GIK whether that is a form or an app or whatever. I'll read this article for sure.
