Access to Learning Profiles

Currently when access is granted to Teacher for a Learning Profile Form, all teachers are able to see the learning profile for a given student, not just the teachers of that student. We would like more granularity in this access so that only the teachers who teach a particular student can see the Learning Profiles.

    @Chyrell Cardillo Please consider posting this to the Ideas section of the user community. There, other users can add comments and vote for your idea. Product managers review the ideas as they plan roadmaps and indicate which ideas are being addressed. You can post a link to you idea in this discussion thread to draw more attention to the idea.

    @Bryna Gleich - sorry but this is a glitch not an enhancement or idea request. LPs are supposed to be relational only, meaning anyone who fits the criteria marked in the access section AND with whom the student is rostered. The reason for this - I was always told by BB - is that this info is sensitive, sometimes with medical diagnoses, and therefore very carefully managed. In fact, it is the one area of the site where you cannot successfully impersonate as an LP author.

    We actually have the opposite problem. While I appreciate that the Learning Profile access grants teachers access to only THEIR students that have an LP, we actually want ALL faculty to be able to see other students that have LPs. Our school is less than 200 students per division and we abide by a strict honor policy. As such, we're not worried that teachers will see LPs for students that doesn't apply to them. However, we have teachers that chaperone trips or assist with various school activities and knowing the LP information would be helpful. However, because they don't “teach” the student, they don't have access to the LPs.

    What is the solution to grant all teachers access to LPs, or by division? Currently our non-teacher are listed as LP managers but I certainly don't want to make all of my teachers non-teachers. Does anyone have any ideas on this? @Bryna Gleich
